I was wondering if there is an easy way to copy all your settings from Mastercam on one computer and apply them to another computer.

At work we have 2 seats which I try hard to keep both seats identical for the two other guys that are still learning it and also because I have grown accustom to how I like it. Also, I am getting pretty close to the point where I may have to start doing some programming at home on weekends because we are getting busy, and if I have to bring the hasp home and set up Mastercam at home I would totally like to easily have everything set up like I do at work.

I know there are toolbar states you can save and load and I believe you could copy to config file, but are these the only files that effect the layout/settings in Mastercam?

Any input would greatly be appreciated.

Mike, I'm not real fluent on this but have been playing with this lately. There are key mapping files (.kmp), toolbar states which you mentioned which I beleive these are .mtb files and your .config files. I fumble through this every time but if you go to your settings and then system configuration, you can edit your start/exit tab. Here you can edit the way you like and save this configuration somewhere and then you should be able to use this configuration on any computer. We save ours on the server so if you move from one computer to another you can still access your configuration.

Hope this helps. Like I said. I'm not the best at this but I can manage to figure it out.

Just to get back at ya, I haven't tried it yet, but when I get time I will give it a try. Kind of thinking around the time X5 comes out maybe set one seat up all nice then try copying things over to the other seat and see how it goes.
