Hi all,

I'm wondering if someone could help me to figure out this one... I have generated my gcode in MastercamX4 using core roughing, I veryfied the toolpath and there are no strange movements, however when the cnc runs the code the work table runs out in X axis in the midle of the roughing process, i should say that i'm close to the limits of the displacement range in X but the toolpath is still within the limits. I'm not very experinced but I see no reason for this to happen.

I would appreciate any suggestions or comments.
Thanks beforehand.

Tuplet,

Hello and Welcome.

If you are that close to the limits of your machine travel, are you using a containment boundary to the path?

If you draw a rectangle of your stock as an example and add it as a containment boundary you then through the settings tell the path not to go outside that boundary.

Without seeing the file it would be hard to troubleshoot. But normally in a situation like this it may be a mix of lead in/out settings along with no boundary to restrict the toolpath generated.
